| The villages which are located nearby Sivakasi started developing into a economically vibrant rural belt and the village people felt the importance of English medium schools. The Sivakasi Naicker Varthaga Sangam decided to start an English medium school at Sivakasi to impart English education to the children hailing from villages. So the SNM Nursery and Primary school was started in the year 1995 in the Kammavar Kalyana Mandapam complex. When the school required a spacious site at its growth into SNM Matriculation School in the year 2000, the committee purchased 4.00 acres of land at the excellent location nearby Paraipatti Village. The main building having two floors was constructed with generous donations from the Varthaga Sangam members. The main building was inaugurated on 08 february 2004 by Dr.P.Namperumalsamy, Director of Aravind Eye hospital, Madurai, in the presence of Mr. Vaiko,M.P and Mr. A. Rajagopal , M.L.A. The school started its functioning in the present location from the academic year 2005 - 2006.One separate block having ten rooms and one meeting hall for nursery children was constructed and named after our school Advisor and National Awardee Sri. S. Sitaraman in the year 2010. |
| Affiliated to the Matriculation Board , the school presented its first batch of students to the Matriculation Board Exam in the year March 2005 and Higher Secondary Exam in the year March 2009. |

| One new block having nine class rooms, one chemistry lab, one physics lab, one computer lab and one conference hall has been inaugurated on 16 Aug 14. |

| Our first and foremost objective is to ensure that all the pupils at the SNM achieve the highest standard of Academic achievement of which they are capable. These standard will apply to all they do, whether in the classrooms, on the sports field, in competition or on stage. We aim to provide our children a valuable education by imparting values and ethics so that they can be good citizens. Our students should be ready to face any challenges in a constructive manner. They should be able to maintain peace and harmony in the society and play main role in protecting the environment. |
